This production also draws inspiration from the efforts of SOAL (Saving Our Ancestors Legacy), whose mission is to restore and preserve the sacred land and history of those buried at Lincoln Cemetery. Their work underscores the importance of uncovering and honoring hidden legacies, a theme deeply embedded in Hallowed Ground.

Langston Hughes’ BLACK NATIVITY is a retelling of Christianity’s Nativity Story set to jubilant gospel music incorporates dialog, folk spirituals, traditional carols, dramatic dance, and Biblical narrative. The Christmas story expresses African American spirituality and the oral traditions of the African American church.

The West Shore Theatre is located conveniently off I-83 in the heart of downtown New Cumberland at 317 Bridge Street, New Cumberland, PA 17070.
